Legacy Churches

The NCS Team is very excited about the incredible potential for Kingdom expansion through the identification, resourcing and multiplication of “Legacy Churches.”  While hundreds of new churches are being planted annually, this year approximately 3,200 churches will close in the United States.  Most of these churches do not have a well-conceived plan to leverage their assets for Kingdom expansion. Providing on-site coaching/consulting expertise, along with the establishment of the Legacy Churches Foundation Fund, delivers a twin-engine of resources to churches, helping them multiply the work of the Kingdom for generations to come, here in the United States and throughout the world.

Below is a bullet-point summary of the details and benefits associated with Legacy Churches Consulting and the Legacy Churches Foundation Fund.

  • NCS provides on-site coaching/consulting to churches who need assistance in how best they can leave a legacy during the "legacy development phase" of their church life.  In the church life-cycle, this phase has normally been associated with low morale, defeat, discouragement and a deep sense of failure.
  • NCS assists churches in a consulting process to discover the truth of Jesus' words: "Unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed.  But if it dies, it produces many seeds" (John 12:24).
  • A book entitled Legacy Churches has been written by one of our consulting team members, Dr. Steve Gray.  It can be purchased from the NCS On-Line Store.
  • Legacy Churches is a great service for non-denominational and congregational polity churches that close, who have no plan or system for strategically “multiplying” their church assets.
  • Legacy Churches is a great service for non-denominational and congregational polity churches who have individuals who wish to “multiply” their individual assets.
  • NCS provides services to smaller denominational families who need a place to “park” both Legacy Church assets as well as individual contributions.
  • Through our partnership with the Christian Network Foundation, donors are provided with a wide range of services from a National Foundation with over $50,000,000 under management.  Contributions can be received and processed in the form of cash, stock, bonds, land, buildings or virtually anything of value in all 50 states.
  • Legacy Churches Foundation Fund will distribute church planting grants to local churches and districts who fulfill the requirements of the LCFF Application Process.
  • The launch of Legacy Churches Foundation Fund will positively increase funding for church planting, both here in the United States and throughout the world.
